INFORMATION FOR AUTHORS     

International Journal of Life Sciences publish research papers, case studies and short communications containing original research work of good standard and review papers of contemporary relevance from all over the world. Following types of contributions are considered for publication:


RESEARCH PAPERS (Full Length -  Maximum of 12 pages-A/4 size).
CASE STUDIES
SHORT COMMUNICATIONS
REVIEW PAPERS including Mini Reviews
 
All the matter and information should be submitted online by uploading at the menu "Paper Submission". If one finds difficulty in uploading, then one can send manuscript as an attachment on email to editor@ijlsci.in OR  submission@ijlsci.in
Manuscript format should be in MS word only. Charts, Tables and Diagrams should be in MS Excel or MS Word and images in JPG format using maximum possible 150dpi resolution. All the matter should be typed in Times New Roman Font size - 12 point with single spacing.
 
AUTHORISATION AND DECLARATION
 
 Authors must accept full responsibility for the content of their articles. The Members of the Editorial Board and the Publisher of the journal are not responsible for the statements and opinions expressed by the authors in their articles/write-up published in the journal.  To use the copyrighted material (for example table, figure etc.), the author/s must seek the permission from the Author/s and Publisher of the material and send the copy of the permission letters via e-mail to the Administrative Editor for records. In case, if it is not possible than do not use that material.
 
 While submitting the paper the author (s) must give a declaration that “the article has not been published or sent for publication elsewhere”.


INSTRUCTIONS FOR MANUSCRIPT-FORMAT
 

a) Page Layout: A4 (21cm × 28 cm) leaving 2 cm margin on all sides of the text. All the text should be single spaced and the pages should be numbered consecutively.

b) Use MS word (2003-2007) for text and TIFF, JPEG or Paint for figures.
c) The first page should contain:
Title-bold, 16 point size
Name/s of author/s-bold, 11 point size (Surname or Family name first in bold)
Affiliation/s-address of all the author/s followed by email of corresponding author in 10 point size
Abstract in italics up to 200 words in 10 point size
Keywords- at least 4-5 keywords in 10 point size
d) Main Text-The paper should be divided into the following sections:
Introduction, Material and Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion,
Acknowledgement and References.
Tables and Figures of good resolution (150 dpi) should be numbered consecutively and given alphabetically by surname or family name in the order of their appearance in the text.
e) Reference style
Text: All citations in the text should refer to:
1. Single author: the author's name (without initials, unless there is ambiguity) and the year of publication;
2. Two authors: both authors' names and the year of publication;
3. Three or more authors: first author's name followed by "et al." and the year of publication.
Citations may be made directly (or parenthetically). Groups of references should be listed first alphabetically, then chronologically. Examples: "as demonstrated (Baig, 2004a, 2004b, 2010; Chavhan and Pawar, 2011). Jadhao et al. (2000) have recently shown ...."
 
References must be in separate sheet in the following order:
 
 References should be arranged first alphabetically and then further sorted chronologically if necessary. More than one reference from the same author(s) in the same year must be identified by the letters "a", "b", "c", etc., placed after the year of publication.

Reference to a journal publication:
Baig MM, Khan AA and Kulkarni KM (2004) Mitochondrial DNA diversity in tribal and castegroups of Maharashtra (India) and its implication on their genetic origins. Annals of Human Genetics, 68(5): 453-460.

A Book:

A Chapter in a Book:

Web references
As a minimum, the full URL should be given and the date when the reference was last accessed. Any further information, if known (DOI, author names, dates, reference to a source publication, etc.), should also be given. Web references can be listed separately (e.g., after the reference list) under a different heading if desired, or can be included in the reference list.


Acknowledgments
 The Acknowledgment section allows authors space to recognize and express appreciation to others (Contributors) who have contributed to the study but have not qualified as Authors or Coinvestigators. In this section, list those who have collected data; provided technical assistance; acquired funding; supervised personnel; contributed drugs, reagents, equipment, or participants; or edited the manuscript for non-intellectual content. The list must include the contributors' affiliations and the specific contributions made by each. The Acknowledgment section is also reserved for authors to thank individuals who have provided general advice or guidance, review of the manuscript, and technical help. For those helping in preparation of the manuscript, specify how they assisted (e.g., performed substantive or technical editing, copyedited the manuscript, prepared tables or figures, or provided clerical assistance).
 
Changes in Authorship after Submission
 
The corresponding author must alert and provide an explanation to the editorial office if there is any change in authorship status (addition, omission, or author order) after manuscript submission. The corresponding author must request and gather letters of agreement from all authors of the manuscript including the author who is being added or omitted. At revision, these statements can be Email.



ACCEPTANCE
As soon as one submits the paper online, it will appear in heading "Papers Received". When we receive the paper along with "Declaration of Authors" and either membership subscription or processing fees, we will send your paper to two experts for comments anywhere in the world.

After acceptance by both the experts, we will try our best to inform you regarding acceptance within one month. If it is accepted, we will send you acceptance letter and your paper will be published at earliest in coming issues. If your paper is rejected, you can submit to other journal with our prior permission. Please note that your membership subscription or processing fees will not be refunded in any case whether your paper is rejected or accepted.


ARTICLE PROCESSING Charges
 The Article-Processing Charge of Open Access is Rs. 2500/- for India and 125$ for Overseas.

This covers the cost of peer-review, editorial, publishing, hosting, and archiving expenses.
International Journal of Life Sciences is an Open Access journal. Open access allows all interested readers to view, download, print, and redistribute any article without a subscription, enabling far greater distribution of an author's work than the traditional subscription-based publishing model. Many authors in a variety of fields have begun to realize the benefits that open access publishing can provide in terms of increasing the impact of their work. In an open access model, the publication costs of an article are paid from an author's research budget, or by their supporting institution, in the form of Article Processing Charges. These Article Processing Charges replace subscription charges and allow publishers to make the full-text of every published article freely available to all interested readers.

PROOFS
Proofs will be sent to the corresponding author via e-mail as an Acrobat PDF (Portable Document Format) which should be returned to the Editorial office within 2 working days.

Acrobat Reader will be required in order to read the PDF.
